I've been creating today!

I completed projects for 3 different challenges today!!

First, is the daily challenge over at the Couture Cardstock Blog! Today's challenge was to use only cardstock! I created a fun, colorful card, using only cardstock & my Cricut Expression!

Second, is the weekly challenge at a fun site I found called My Scrapbooking Supplies. This week's challenge was a recipe...

Cardstock ~ one sheet
Pattern paper~ one sheet
Journal die cuts ~ two
Flowers ~ two
Let me tell you, I had to think about this one for a while. BUT, I managed to come up with a layout that both fit the challenge AND fit my personal style! I didn't have any pre-made journal die cuts, so I cut two out with my Cricut. The patterned paper is MME (Bloom & Grow) and the cardstock is DCWV. Flowers are Prima.

And last, but not least, is the "Sketch This" contest over at Cookin' Up Scrapbooking Creations. This is actually the 2nd layout I've done using the sketch... a sketch I happened to create! For this layout I used ColorBok cardstock for the background and then fun papers, trim & frame from Pine Cone Press. The flowers are Prima, Gems are generic & Felt Fusion is Queen & Company.

Well, thanks for visiting!! Have A Great Night!!

Scrap Our Stash March Challenge!

Good Morning!

This morning I wanted to share my creation for the March "Scrap Our Stash" Challenge Blog!

My layout fit the "Old/New" theme in a couple of different ways! These photos are from a trip our family took to Mexico in 2004! They had gotten lost in our many moves, and were recently discovered in some boxes! I have decided to 're-visit" these photos and try to finish the album! Also, the flowers were made with punches that I've had since I started scrapping! And the buttons... I've had them in my stash for years, and the colors turned out to be perfect for this page! The "New" aspect of this page is the paper. It's not new the scrapping world, but it's new to me! It's MME's "Bloom & Grow" line! I love the colors in this line, and can see many more creations being made with it!! I would also like to mention that the layout was initially inspired by one of the March sketches over the PageMaps.... I just love their sketches!!

It's not too late for you to participate in the March challenge over at the Scrap Our Stash Challenge Blog! Here is the information about March's Challenge...
The Scrap Our Stash March Challenge is to do a project using something OLD (from your stash) and something NEW. This can be anything you want to do - just stick with the OLD / NEW prompt. Your project does not have to be a card or layout - it can be anything you want to create.
Once you have completed your project email a picture and a brief discription of how your project related to the Old/New prompt to scrappinpsycho@live.com .
Each entry will be posted on the blog for everyone to see. Your entry must be received by Noon on March 31st. A winner will be chosen and announced on April 1st (No foolin'). The winner will be offered the opportunity to be a Guest Design Team Member for the month of May.

We will be posting projects daily from the Design team, Guest Design Team and readers entries. Please use these as a source of inspiration to join in the challenge and also to scrap your stash. Check back daily for a new project. We can't wait to see your New/Old project.
TFS & Have A Great Day!!

March DT Reveal @ Cookin' Up Creations!

Good Afternoon, Fellow Bloggers! :)

I wanted to share my March DT Reveals for Cookin' Up Creations! This month, the Design Team was sponsored by Pine Cone Press! And let me start by saying how much fun I had with the "Garden Party" Options Kit from Pine Cone Press!! I had to add very little of my own stash to complete these fun projects! And the bright, fun colors, worked with so many different themes! Thank you to Pine Cone Press for this awesome kit to work with!!

My first project is a 12x12 Layout of my daughter Victoria on her 10th Birthday (just a few weeks ago!) I used the fun "Garden Party" patterned papers, along with some cute little pre-punched tags! And, with a little Smooch Spritz, Glimmer Mist, an embossed stamped image and a few handmade rosettes, I had this fun, colorful page!

My next project was a fun 8x8 Layout! This is a photo of my sister's family on their trip to Disney! This was actually their holiday card this past Christmas! The Pine Cone Press papers couldn't have been more perfect with this photo! All I added was a bit of black & yellow cardstock & stickles to the handmade roses!

And now my next project... This cute mini Accordion Album with matching altered box (7 Gypsies). With only the addition of some cardstock, prima flowers & a few buttons, I created this cute Spring-Themed mini album to capture memories of our new home's gardens as they bloom this Spring!
And finally, I created a few fun Spring themed cards! All I added were a few stamps, some ink and a bit of cardstock to create these cards!
Thanks for visiting & I hope you enjoyed my projects using Pine Cone Press!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

OK, so I don't have any St. Patrick's Day projects to share, but I do have a couple of layouts I'd like to share! I've been playing with making my own flowers for my pages!! These pages use some punches I've had in my stash forever!! Shelby, over at Scrap With Shelby shared a technique for adding dimension by folding the petals and layering the flowers. I went a little further, and used 3D dots inbetween the layers to add more dimension.

This first layout was inspired by the March Sketch over at the MME Blog...

Supplies: Patterned Paper (MME), Stamps (Inque Boutique), Pearls (Recollections), Ink (StazOn), Lace (Misc. from Stash)

This layout was inspired by both Couture Cardstock's daily challenge today and one of the great March Sketches over at Heidi's Cropstar Blog. Oh it was also inspired by Patti's "Recipe Challenge" over at Cookin' Up Scrapbooking Creations! The challenge at Couture Cardstock was to use pop-dots or another dimensional adhesive to create dimension on your project. I used pop dots inbetween the layers of flowers & to adhere the flowers to the layout to add dimension.

Supplies: Patterned Paper (MME), Pearls (Queen & Company), Buttons (Misc. From Stash)

Stay tuned to my blog for my Design Team Reveal for Cookin' Up Scrapbooking Creations!! This months Sponsor is Pine Cone Press & we got to play with one of the beautiful kits!! Here's a little sneak peek (those are some more flowers I've recently learned how to make!!)

Thanks for looking & have a great day!!!

Are You Ready For Spring??

I know I sure am!! We've been seeing all kinds of signs that Spring is indeed on it's way! Warmer temps, Robin's in our yard, almost no sign of snow on the ground, daffodils blooming & we can hear the little peeper frogs singing their Spring song!!

So, in honor of Spring's impending arrival, I wanted to share this very simple layout I created with photos from a trip my hubby and I took for our Anniversary in 2004 (I never said I was caught up with my scrapping!) This layout happens to also fall into the criteria for today's challenge over at the Couture Cardstock Blog.... "Use the word SPRING in your project!" For sure, this layout says Spring! :)

Supplies: All items used on this page are from K&Company, with the exception of the yellow cardstock, which is Bazzill.

Another Couture Cardstock Challenge!

I finally have a chance to participate in another of Couture Cardstock's National Craft Month Daily Challenges! Today's challenge is to use pastel or muted tones on your project. While digging through some old photos, I found these of my oldest daughter (who just turned 19 on Monday! EEK!) Because they were "snow" pics, my first thought was blue... but while looking through some papers, I came across these pastel pink papers and thought they would be perfect!! So, with a bit of stitching & a few embellishments, I created these simple 8x8 pages for her album! :) TFL!

Have A Great Day!!

Couture Cardstock 3/4 Challenge

Yes, I'm really getting into the Couture Cardstock Challenges! :-) I missed yesterday's challenge because it was my daughter, Victoria's 10th Birthday! :-) She had a great day, so I'm ok with missing the challenge! LOL I'll have some pics to post later!

Today's challenge is to use a butterfly or other bug somewhere on your project! I chose to create a card! I had a little help from Jan over at Cookin' Up Creations who posted a great sketch challenge! And I was inspired by the project posted on the Couture Cardstock Blog, and "lifted" the idea to use ribbon as the butterfly's body! :-)

Supplies: DCWV Mat Stack, Bazzill & DCWV Cardstock, Studio g Stamp, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Misc. Ribbon, Stampin Up Clear Embossing Powder
