Just Buggin' Blog Hop!!

Welcome to the Just Buggin' Challenge Blog "Spring Into Spring" Blop Hop, sponsored by the Just Buggin Design Team!

If you've just happened upon my blog, you can CLICK HERE to start from the beginning at the Just Buggin' Challenge Blog. You should have arrived here from Stephanie's Blog!

Each of the Just Buggin' Designers has created a Spring project to share with you! My project uses the ever versatile "Base Camp" font cartridge! I chose this font because I wanted basic letters for my title. To add something a little different to my project, I decided to cut the actual letters using duplicates of my photos! This is a great way to use up those "not so great" photos you have around. There are severals ways to do this using your Cricut... I used the "Center Poing" feature on my Cricut Expression. I simply stuck my photo to the mat & moved the blade to where I wanted the center of letter to be... then selected Center Point and Cut! Then I used the Shadow Feature to cut a shadow to match out of coordinating patterned paper to help separate each letter & make it pop!

Thank you for joining us during the Just Buggin' Challenge Blog "Spring Into Spring" Blog Hop! Now you want to "hop" on over to Samantha's Blog to see her wonderful Spring project!

Have A Great Day!!

Here are a couple of pages I created using this fun, versitile kit...

Classy ~ 8x8 Layout

(This is my beautiful niece! Unfortunately, the photo was damaged in shipping, but I just HAD to scrap them anyway! Everything on this page is from the Feburary Kit, except for the Bling, which is from Wal-Mart.)

He's My Valentine EVERY day ~ 12x12 Layout

(This is my wonderful hubby! I realized I don't scrap enough pages about him. Everything on this page is from the February Kit, except the black cardstock (generic), Clear Heart (Heidi Swapp) & Stickles (Tim Holtz/Ranger)

This cute little chipboard bird was included in the kit. His body & wing are two separate pieces. I covered each piece in a different patterned paper to ccordinate with the rest of my layout.

Scrap Our Stash ~ February Challenge

The February Challenge over at the Scrap Our Stash Challenge Blog is to complete a project having something to do with the number 10 for 2010.

Here is my example...

On this 2-Page, 8x8 Layout, I used 10 squares (cut from scraps of paper) & added 10 purple gems (from my stash) to add some extra sparkle). Other supplies: Patterned Paper (Best Occasions - WM); Bling Flourishes (Best Occasions - WM); Border Punch (Martha Stewart); Cricut Cartridge (Storybook)

For your project, you can use 10 of anything - such as 10 buttons, or 10 pictures - it could also be the sum total of 10 such as 7 brads and 3 pictures - it can be anything having to do with the number 10. Be creative - the possibilities are endless. Your project does not have to be a card or layout - it can be anything you want to create.

Once you have completed your project e-mail a picture and a brief discription of how your project related to the number 10 to scrappinpsycho@live.com . Each entry will be posted on the blog for everyone to see.Your entry must be received by Noon on February 28th. A winner will be chosen and announced on March 1st. The winner will be offered the opportunity to be a Guest Design Team Member for the month of April.

Projects will be posted daily on the blog from the Design team, Guest Design Team and readers entries. Please use these as a source of inspiration to join in the challenge and also to scrap your stash.

We can't wait to see your 10 project.

8x8 Wedding Album

I wanted to share the 8x8 Wedding Album that I made for my cousin & his new wife. My mom sent the photos, and I ended up doing a lot of cropping & editing & changed them all to Black & White. Then, I found some pretty monochromatic paper at Wal-Mart (Best Creation) and added touches of purple for color (wedding colors were different shades of purples). I kept the pages simple with only a feew embellishments to keep the focus on the photos. TFL!
