Tis' the Season!

Wow! Can you believe how fast the Holiday Season is approaching!? All of the stores are decked out for Christmas & the TV commercials have started! In all the hustle & bustle of the season, let's not forget Thanksgiving, and remember to Give Thanks for all of the blessings we receive every day!

Things have been tough for our family over the past year or so, but I am so Thankful that we are all together & that we have a roof over our heads & food on our table. We may not have everything we want, but we are all together & healthy and that's what's important.

OK, now I have to admit that I'm getting a jump on the holidays as well! As part of that, I joined in on the 6 Week Santa's Workshop at Sassy Cards N Scraps! Last week's challenge was to create cards using only a few supplies (you can see my cards in a previous update), and this weeks challenge was to create a handmade holiday ornament!

I created mine using a styrofoam ball, Queen & Company Felt Fusion, Autumn Leaves Rhonna Farrer Patterned Paper, Prima Flowers, Misc. Ribbon, a large Misc. Gem & straight pins.

With these supplies, we were to create as many cards as possible using only those supplies (plus the card bases). I ended up with 15 cards... all different!! I chose non-traditional colors for my cards. My patterned paper was light blue w/snowflakes & mult-colored blocks, and my cardstock was blue & white! I also used stamps, bling, ribbon & stickles... lots of stickles!!

Been working on a new project...

Hey Everyone! Today I have been working on a cute collage frame for a challenge at Mothers & Daughters Creations! It actually turned out better than I thought it would!

I used (4) 5x5 wood frames that I picked up at Michael's a while ago, and covered them with different patterned papers from Making Memories & Pebbles, Inc. Then, using my favorite little bug (Cricut Expression) I cut out the different elements & words. Finally, I addd a few Basic Grey (Mellow) rub-ons! The "2007" is hanging on a little hook, and I have made other years (2008, 2009, etc.) and have left the back of the frams open, so that I can change out the pics each year!!

Tell me what you think...

More Cards & Another Layout!

Hi Everyone! Happy Wednesday! It's been a busy week so for, and only getting busier! I am working Monday - Friday this week, again, and I've had to do a few complicated cakes. :) I love the challenge, but it can be a little stressful! But, even with working, laundry, housework, etc., I've managed to get in a little creative time! Here are a few more cards & a layout I'd like to share! TFL!

This layout was inspired by a sketch at Rough Draft, a new sketch blog that I found!
