Scrapping With My Stash!

Good Morning!

I just wanted to share the layout I created for the 1st challenge at the Scrap Our Stash Challenge Blog! I made an 8x8 layout using scraps from some MME papers I had. The whole layout was done with scraps... even the title & flourish! For the title & flourish I used white cardstock & inked them using two different Tim Holtz distress inks. I also used a few Prima flowers, some misc. star bling & Ranger Stickles to complete this fun little page!

Also, don't forget this weeks challenge over at the Just Buggin' Cricut Challenge Blog! This weeks challeng is... Layers -Use at least two die cuts and layer them together. (for instance, cut out flowers in two different sizes and layer them on top of eachother, two snowflakes, etc.)

It wasn't my week to create a sample, but here is a recent example of layering Cricut Die Cuts to create a custom embellishement! I layered snowflakes together, then cut & bent them & added Ranger Stickles to create these fun elements!

And here are a couple of older examples using this easy technique... I layered die cuts together as well as layering them with Prima flowers.

Be sure to link your creation to the Just Buggin' blog when you are done!

Hope you all have a great day!! Thanks for visiting!!

"Identify Our Stash" over at Scrap Our Stash!

Good Sunday Morning!

I have some news to share with you all!! I was recently selected by the lovely Kathy to be on the Scrap Our Stash Design Team! This is a brand new challenge blog that will "officially" be debuting on December 1st!! The challenges will be centered around "Using Our Stash"! You know you all have one... and if you are like me... a pretty LARGE one! LOL

To get things started over there, Kathy has done a wonderful reveal of each New Design Team Member and, this morning, has posted a "Identify Our Stash" Contest! If you head on over the blog, you'll find photos from each of the 7 Designers stash. By reading their reveal and visiting their blog, you should be able to figure out which stash belongs to which designer!

I'm thinking that if you know me, mine will be pretty easy!! I'm not even going to post an actual "clue".... just browse through some of my recent creations (you won't have to browse too far), and I'll think you'll figure it out!!

I would like to share my reveal layout from the Use Our Stash blog! I chose to create a layout about my stash... One of the largest parts of my stash... My Flowers!! If you look through my stash and my creations, you'll see that on almost all of them, you'll find Flowers, Flourishes & Bling... my three favorite things! Of course, having 4 daughters to scrap makes using them easy!!

This layout uses only what was in my stash... and it all has been in my stash for a LONG time... at least 6 months or more!

Supplies Used: Patterned Paper (K&Company), Flowers (Prima), Flower Centers (Prima & Misc. Bling), Flourishes & Large title were cut with the Cricut Expression (my favorite tool!) using the Storybook & Home Decor Cartridges, and for the small title I used my Brother P-Touch label maker!

I am looking forward to the upcoming challenge at Use Our Stash, and I love to see you all come on over and join us!!

Just Buggin' Challenge #11 ~ Into the Wild

This week, Challenge #11 over at the Just Buggin' Challenge Blog is to create a project with an animal Cricut die cut! If you don't have a cartridge with an animal die cut, make up your own animal, think google eyes!!

I created a layout for this challenge, and incorporated the cute little owl from the Happily Ever After cartridge. Other supplies used on this layout are some VERY old patterned paper (if anyone recognized it, let me know!!), Prima Flowers, Prima Say It With Crystals Flower Centers, Cricut Expression (Cartridges: Storybook, Calligraphy Collection, Sans Serif, Happily Ever After). The layout of this page was inspired by a sketch by Tina McDonald.

Be sure to stop on by the Just Buggin' Challenge Blog to see other great examples from the brand New Design Team!

Sharing A Layout...

Good Tuesday Morning!!

I just wanted to share a layout I finished yesterday. It is inspired by the sketch challenge over at Color {Me} Daisy. I just LOVE Julie Bonner sketches & this one was no exception! I also played with my Cricut quite a bit for this one! I used several cartriges to create the title, flourishes & snowflakes! (Cartridges used: Storybook, Calligraphy Collection, Home Decor & Joys of the Season). Lots of layering & dimension in this too!

And, I know I already submitted a card for Challenge #10 (Just Bling It) over at the Just Buggin' Cricut Challenge Blog, but that challenge also gave some inspiration to this layout as well! I used Ranger Stickles ALL over the die cuts on this... title, flourisn & snowflakes!!

Supply Lis for Layout:
MME Patterned Paper, Bazzill Cardstock, Misc. Wal-Mart Bling, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Ranger Stickles, Kaiser Craft Pearls, Cricut Cartridges: Storybook, Calligraphy Collection, Home Decor & Joys of the Season.

I'm off to start a new project... Have A Great Day!!

Another Card (Just Buggin' Challenge #10)

I'm having fun over at the Just Buggin' Challenge Blog! Challenge #10 is to use glitter or glitter glue on your die cuts. If you do not have glitter, opt for rhinestones, glitter brads, etc. to add bling to your die cuts! As always, at least one Cricut die cut must be used on your project.

I used several die cuts on my card. The background bracket shape (Storybook), the stamp edged shape (Base Camp) & the flourish (Home Decor). To add some sparkle, I used Ranger Stickles on the stamped sentiment & flourish, and also added some Ranger Glossy Accents to the dots in the background. Other items used: Prima Patterned Paper & Flower, Misc. Red Gems & Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

Thanks for looking!! Have A Great Day!!

Some Cards to Share!

Hello All!! I wanted to share a couple of cards that I have been working on! These are for two of the November Challenges over at Back Porch Memories.

This 1st one is for Danielle's Packaging Challenge. The challenge is to create a layout or a card using the packaging from an embellishment. I used the backing from some Prima "Say It With Crystals" on this card (B&W Polka Dot element). I also used Jenni Bowlin Patterned Paper, Misc. Ribbon & a Stampin' Up Stamp.

The 2nd challenge is Audrey's "On Edge" Challenge. The challenge is to create a project (LO/card/altered etc.) using border punches. I used 2 different punches... one from EK Success (Martha Stewart) & one from Fiskars. I also used Prima Paper, K&Co Paper, Felt Die Cuts, Stickles & my Cricut Expression "Home Decor" cartridge.

Well, I'm off to do some more creating!! Have A Great Day!!

Trick or Treat!

Yep, it's that time again! The leaves are changing, the weather is getting cooler & everywhere you see jack-o-lanterns, ghosts & spider webs... Halloween is here!
To celebrate, I created this cute little treat bucket with inspirational help from the Just Buggin' challenge blog & the Scrap with Shelby message board!
This weeks #9 challenge at Just Buggin' was to create a Halloween or Spooky Themed project... using your Cricut, of course!
AND, this months challenge at Scrap with Shelby was to make a page, altered item or project "recycling" something from your scrapbooking supplies.
I chose to use the empty clear bucket that I got some Prima Flowers in to make a fun little treat bucket. I used the Calligraphy Collections & Doodle Charms cartridges to make this fun little bucket! I also used Cloud 9 patterned papers, Bazzill cardstock, Sakura pens, Glimmer Mist & Misc. Ribbon.

Thanks for looking & Have A Great Day!

Been playin' with my Cricut!

Since finding the Just Buggin' challenge blog, I've been inspired to try some new things with my Cricut! Challenge #8 was to create a card using a card shape from any Cricut cartridge. I decided to try a round card, using the mirror/window feature on the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge!

I made a birthday card for a good friend! I used KI Memories patterned paper, Prima Flowers, Misc. Blong, Bazzill Cardstock & Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I also used the Calligraphy Collection cartridge.

Autumn Is In The Air!

Well, it was ealier this week anyway... now it's in the mid 70's again! I'm never sure how to dress the girls for school in the morning! But that's OK... I like it a little warmer... that's why I like Virginia!

Well, I got to do a little paper crafting over the past couple of days and completed a couple more challenges for The Scrapbook Get-Away and Color {Me} Daisy.

This first project is a combination of two challenges. The challenge at The Scrapbook Get-Away was to create a layout using Dr. in the title & at least one heart. For Color {Me} Daisy the challenge was to use an amazing sketch by Julie Bonner (52 Sketches 52 Weeks) as inspiration.

My layout uses Basic Grey Mellow Patterned Paper & Buttons, Bazzill Cardstock, Prima Flowers, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Fiskars Threading Water border punch and the Cricut Expression (George & Basic Shapes, Storybook & Home Decor Cartridges).

My 2nd project is for a Color {Me} Daisy Fall Challenge. We had to create this adorable pumpkin using patterned paper and/or cardstock. Isn't it cute?! I used my Cricut Expression with the Storybook Cartridge & the auto fill feature to cut the scalloped circles for this project.

I had recently tried out for the Color {Me} Daisy Design Team, but got an e-mail today saying that I didn't make it. :( I just wanted to thank Michelle for the opportunity & congratulate those who made the team! I look forward to your inspiration!!

Have A Great Day!

Good Morning!

Good Morning All!

Just thought I'd pop in and post another layout! I'm SO happy to be creating again! I never realized how much I rely on my crafting to help me relax and stay centered. Now that I'm back at it, life just seems "right"... Make Sense?? :)

This is an 8x8 layout I did of my lovely niece, Haillie! Gosh, I miss her so much and she's growing into a beautiful young lady!! Can't wait to see this years pics!

For this layout, I used some older supplies I had around, including Basic Grey Sublime Patterned Paper & Alpha Stickers, ColorBox Chalk Ink, Sakura Gel Pen, Bazzill Cardstock & American Crafts Rub-On Alphas, as well as my Cricut Expression (as always!)
I cut the large flower from one of the patterned papers & layered it for the background, then I inked around the edges & traced with a brown gel pen around the petals & alpha stickers.
I was, again, inspired by two challenges when creating this layout. One was from The Scrapbook Getaway, where we had to use "fussy cutting" on the layout. And the other was from Color{Me}Daisy, where we had to use cutting, layering, two different fonts in the title & a winged creature on the layout. I love both of these message boards... you should check them out!

Thanks for looking...

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!

Woo Hoo! I Scrapped!!

Hello All!!
Well, I FINALLY got me a little scrappy space all organized and did a little scrapping! I've discovered a few new scrappy places (well, new to me!) and I've been playing along with some challenges!!
This first layout was combined for 2 sites ... The Scrapbook Get-Away and Color{Me}Daisy! , at The Scrapbook Get-Away the challenge was to use a great sketch by Shana, and the challenge for Color {Me} Daisy was to create a layout using Fall Colors but NOT a Fall Layout! I used American Crafts 2-Sided papers & rub-ons for this, along with Prima Flowers, Misc. Bling, and the Storybook & Home Decor Cricut Cartridges.

This 2nd layout was created for two site also... the Just Buggin' Challenge Blog (how could I NOT love this blog, since I'm so attached to my Cricut!? Thinkin' of trying for her DT!), and the Color{Me}Daisy DT Call! The challenge for Just Buggin' was to create anything (other than a card) using my Cricut Machine. For Color {Me} Daisy, we had to create a Layout with a "Fall Favorites" theme. I chose to scrap a photo that my daughter, Emily, had taken at her middle school Fall Dance last year. I used a combination of both traditional and non-traditional fall colors. Supplies used were Prima Papers & Flowers, along with copper Ranger Stickles & some Misc. Bling to create this simple layout. :) I also used the Storybook Cricut Cartridge for the Title, Flourish Border & branch accents on this page.

It feels SO good to be creating again!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Have A Great Day!!

Just Wanted to Check In...

Hi Everyone!! I know it's been a while since I've checked in, but things have been a little hectic for our family. We ended up having to move (again!) and are still working on getting settled. We are currently staying with friends and trying to figure out how to fit a house full of stuff into a 15x15 storage unit.... not an easy task!

As far as my scrapping... I haven't been creative in a while, and it's KILLING me!! I am working on setting up a nice little space though, and I hope to be back to creating VERY soon!! I even went as far as trying out for a couple of DT's... still waiting on the results! :)

I miss all my on-line friends, scrappy & otherwise & I am working on getting back on here more!! Thanks for sticking by me!! <>

Sharing a couple projects...

Hello to all my fellow crafters & bloggers! :)

I just wanted to share a couple recent projects I created!
This first layout was for a challenge at Me & Moms Big Ideas. The challenge was to use a stamp to create a border or frame. I used a flourish stamp to create a frame around a couple of pics of my favorite fur-baby, Freddie! I was also able to work this layout into the Sketch Challenge at Urban Anthology!
I also wanted to share the graduation party invitation I made for my oldest dd's graduation party (personal info. was whited out for posting).
And, finally, this last project was for a Doodling Challenge at Me & Moms Big Ideas. I had wanted to "try" an all-dooled page. Now that I have... I'm not sure I like it... but I did it & it's out of my system... for now! LOL

This is a photo of my niece. :)

Time Stands Still...

I wanted to share a heritage page I did of my grandparents on their wedding day in 1939. I decided to go with a bit of color on this layout & use papers from Kaiser Craft (one of my new favorites) & also paper from Best Creations, both of which can be found at the Mothers & Daughters Creations store! I also used Prima Flowers, Kaiser Craft Pearls & die cut title & flourishes from the Calligraphy Collection Cricut Cartridge. The flourishes were crackled using Helmar 2-Step Crackle Medium. :)

Happy Wendesday!

Happy Wednesday, Everyone!!

WOW! It's been a busy couple of weeks!! I've been working a bunch, trying to catch up from Mother's Day!! LOL BUT, I finally DID catch up yesterday, and then got myself a little ahead today! And... I have a DAY OFF tomorrow!!

Since I got off a little early today, I was able to do a little creating this afternoon! I started creating this layout for the "Non-Human" challenge at Me & Moms Big Ideas, then got stuck & remembered the sketch I found at this great new site Scrapbooks & Stuff. So this layout I did for both challenge! And I also did a Card Sketch Challenge at Scrapbooks & Stuff by one of the members. The card sketch is actually from a great blog Inspirational-Card-Sketch Challenge Blog.

This layout uses some of my new favorite paper by Kaiser Craft, Prima Flowers, Kaiser Pearls, Misc. Bling Flourish from Wal-Mart & Generic Black Cardstock.

And the card uses some fun DCWV Glitter Stack paper, Prima Flowers, American Crafts Ribbon, EK Success (Martha Stewart) Border Punch, Misc. Gems & stamp & Generic Cardstock.

TFL!! Have A Great Day, Everyone!!
