More Fun on the GCD Studios Blog!!

Well, the calls to the new GCD Design Team went out today... and....

I didn't get one! LOL That's ok... I wasn't really expecting one. Heidi will be announcing the new DT, along with those who made the 4 Guest DT spots, 40 Spotlights & 21 Product Testers on Monday, April 6th! Be sure to check out the GCD Blog for all the details!

The Waiting Begins!!

OK... I haven't mentioned this yet (didn't want to jinx myself! LOL) but I threw my hat in the ring for the GCD Design Team call! The deadline for submissions was yesterday, and the calls going out to the new Designers TOMORROW!! Heidi is making this fun for everyone, by hosting some fun giveaways throughout the day tomorrow on the GCD Blog! I have to work tomorrow morning... AHHHHH!!! But I'm hoping for a short day, so I can come home & join in on the fun.... and maybe even get a phone call myself!!

It's A Sunny Sunday Morning!!

Good Morning!! The SUN is finally shining here in Central VA!! It's a beatiful Sunday Morning! I just thought I'd pop in and share a few of the most recent layouts I've made this week!

This 1st one is my 1st submission into the "Design Star" Contest over at Urban Anthology!

Challenge #1 was to use a great sketch & create a layout showcasing signature aspects of your unique style! I am thrilled with my layout, no matter what the judges think! I've had these photos of my youngest dd & needed some inspiration to scrap them!

This next one I did using a photo of my grandparents, Louis & Louise on their wedding day in 1939! This Jenni Bowlin paper was PERFECT for this photo!

This layout showcases a beautiful photo of my daughter, Victoria! You know how sometimes you just can't get a good photo of someone... well, Victoria is my someone! LOL But this one turned out beautiful! I used some fun Prima papers & flowers to highlight her pretty smile!!

Some More Scrappin'!!

Hello All!! I wanted to share a couple new projects I finished over the weekend during the on-line crop at 3 Scrappy Boys!!

I finished another layout for our Williamsburg getaway album! For this challenge, we had to create our own embellishments out of a re-cycled product. I used a cereal box & covered a piece with cardstock & cut out the flourish & heart with my Sizzix. This one uses some great paper by Daisy Bucket Designs, which you can find at Mothers & Daughters Creations great on-line store!

And this was a fun project! I used more fun papers by Daisy Bucket Designs (which can also be found in the MDC Store) for this one too!

Busy week at work this week... I started my new schedule & work 4 days this week, instead of 3. Great for the $$... bad for the scrapping!! I'm still hoping to sneak in some time for me & finish a couple more challenges from the 3 Scrappy Boys crop!

Been Scrappin'!!

Thanks to a fun on-line crop over at 3 Scrappy Boys, I got to do a little scrapping yesterday!! I was able to complete 2 challenges & I'm thrilled with the results!

Challenge #1 was to "think green" & use green as the main color in the layout! I created an 11" x 8.5" page for my Williamsburg, VA getaway album!

Challenge #2 was to use a sketch, use something "green" (as in recycled) & a photo that was mainly green. This layout is the companion to the one I did for challenge 1!

Supplies for both layouts include K&Co Patterned Paper & Embellihments; EK Success (Martha Stewart) border punches; Fiskars border punch; Best Occaisons Rhinestone Accents; Queen & Co. Felt Fusion.

I've discoverd that I REALLY like this size layout! It's so easy to just stick it on my scanner, rather than trying to photograph it!

Not much going on here today. I'm going to be working on brunch in a bit, then more scrapping!! Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!!

MDC Scrapbook Challenge ~ March 16th

This week at the MDC Challenge Blog we're having another fun sketch challenge - we love sketches!! We also LOVE Julie Bonner's sketch site, 52 Sketches, 52 Weeks - so the challenge this week is to use one of the following sketches:You can use this week's sketch, #11... Or, because our design team has to work in advance and we're always using the previous week's sketch, you can also use last week's sketch, #10.

For some reason my layout using sketch #10 hasn't hit the MDC blog yet, but I thought I'd share it here! :) TFL & be sure to stop over the the MDC Challenge Blog for some inspiration!!
